This class is great for anyone starting on their yoga journey who wants to become familiar with the yoga poses and tradition. These classes will be more gentle in nature and can therefore be great for runners, athletes, or anyone feeling they need a starting point for yoga. These classes will generally have more instruction in them as they are designed for introducing people to the practice. These classes will involve pranayama (breathing), asana (postures) and some history and philosophy weaved in to help the newer practitioners.
This class is great for anyone who:
- is new to yoga
- has been sitting at a desk all day
- has been working out and needs to release muscular tension
- has pain in their low back, shoulders, hips and/or knees
